Portland doesnt feel like the rest of JA in many different ways to me. You dont have the same security worries like u do elsewhere an ppl still have that &quot;country&quot; mentality when dealing with each other.....that vibe is lost in most other parts to me.

Portland suits me the best.

I’m only on page 5 but had to stop to say…AHHHH FINALLY a prized trip report rarely seen these days…LOTS of good reading, wonderful pictures and fun cross-de-board banter that got me giggling at my desk….like back in the good ole days. Great report <span style="font-weight: bold">Nylah</span>. Lady you and I share the same love of video clips, however your commentaries are an excellent touch.

JaJewels place is really nice!! I can see how you were able to renew there. Thanks for the tour and I also appreciate your sharing night time activities. Leroy’s sounds like a nice place to chill, chat and guzzle red stripes. My kinda place! Okay…going to back to your arrival in Portie.

I am always surprised by the photos that appeal to ppl and why they do. Plus it is very cool to see the pictures I snap thru someone else's eyes. It makes me look at them again differently and appreciate them more.

I was looking at my pix earlier thinking that the ones that came out they werent quite how I wanted but now I see they are worth their weight in gold just as is

Vi, dont u find that the videos capture what u want much better than a pix sometimes in JA? Especially when u are in a moving car So many of those are blurry or out of focus, so when my brain clicked in I just turned on the video function on my camera

As long as I am amusing then it is all good

Blank (still cant get used to ur damn name) it was pretty laid back and only got better with each day

I have never had a trip like this to JA as an adult.

It recaptured the feel I had as a kid when I was there....mom would let me play out in the rain b/c the rain was warm unlike here in Canada. And to a little kid that was the most priceless and liberating thing because it opened a whole new world.

I had heard that they pushed many local vendors off of Winnifred Beach? Does this look true to you guys? There were very few tourists they day we visited so it seemed like this wasnt the best move.

My favorite beach on this trip turned out to be Boston Beach A small beach but still well maintained with pretty sand an lots lof locals. I think I was the only tourist while I was there.

I bought a bunch of jewelry from JaJewel and from TSmall as well. They do incredible work and their pieces are unique and lovely. I wore their jewelry most days and always received compliments.


This stone I fell in love with I believe it is called Amazonite (JaJewel will correct me if I am wrong)
The first pix is of the main stone in the bracelet.


I got matching earrings to go with it.




This bracelet/earrings set is jade and a stone I dont remember at the moment (JAJewel, help)





These are glass which I love. My tastes are changing b/c once upon a time I would never buy anything blue and now more blue is starting to appeal to me. This shade is striking under the Jamaican sun.

This piece is from DreadNut (TSmall). I know the lighting doesnt do it justice but I'll post it anyways. It is turquoise and green glass that is just gorgeous up close
