The last good Fish n Chips store I ate at in London had closed down awhile back I had fish n chips at a few other supposedly good stores and they we all crap

I was jonesing for a good plate of fish n chips before I left just to get the craving out of my system

So Mr Nylah and I went to a popular one in Enfield town. Enfield Town is a small village just outside city limits, although it has been amalagated into the the City of London many years back. All of that stuff confuses me.

Anyhow, here is our visit to <span style="font-weight: bold">George's Fish and Chips Bar</span> in Enfield Town



George and his staff



They do both takeout and eat-in if you prefer. We decided to stay and eat. Our server was an old Greek man who had been in the U.K. for 25 years but still retained a thick Greek accent He was the sweetest person. He gave us a sample of his homemade hummus to try while we waited for our fish. Oh man his was perfect The most loveliest hummus I have ever eaten and to have it in a small fish n chips store to boot

Great, that video of Brixton shows the &quot;hair piece&quot; shop that I wandered into, looking at all the different hair pieces on show on the wall, the girl behind the counter said she would do my hair for me ... (how sweet)... I said &quot;Hmm, maybe next time&quot;....

Strangely enough (or maybe not if you look at the history), a lot of that African cloth is made in Holland......fabulous photos on the website!

I brought back some wool for you to knit me something

I did plan to look in two antique book stores across the street from the British Museum for something for you but they were closed by 5pm when the museum locked up as well.

So the thought was there

yes, that is source that the shop owner gets his materials as well. He gave me his card with the web address on it

Yeah, weaves are big business there...black white pink and purple, all seem to wear weaves. I heard enough complaints that the water is hard in London and thus damages at least black hair. Dont know how much I follow that since water is hard in my city but each to them own

no seriously, I did. plus I asked in enough Notions store for free knitting patterns and they all looked at me like I was insane

so the best I could do is buy some wool....interesting though, their quality wasnt all that good at least not in the stores my cousin took me too. She is a sewer....but I didnt find anything better than what I can get here.

one next day when I was feverish but not willing to sit in the house, Mr Nylah and me took a drive down to the warfs. Once again he rambled on about the history of the warfs and I retained maybe 20% of what he sad

<span style="font-weight: bold">Whappen Warf</span> was a prominent warf back in the day, but was abandoned and left in disrepair for many many years. In fact, it was a place that you risked losing your life if you wondered around late at night.

Now the area has been gentrified and is now one of the most sought after places to live. Not only new condos have gone up but many of the old warf buildings have been converted in to condos/flats and/or business offices.

Ohh, this isnt along the wharf like I first wrote. It is a water station on another area. They do rock climbing inside now.





Driving thru the Whitechapel area. You know, Jack the Ripper etc. This is near the Whappen wharfs as well

Nope

His parents did call me and I went and spent time with them but I didnt get in contact with him....he moved to central London a while back so I had no chance or running into him

Mr Nylah said I made my point and should have called him before I left......I just wasnt up to it yet.
