the last 3 weeks have been a whirlwind

the brothers talk to each other daily - just boy stuff - watching tv together and laughing

abu seems like a piece of the puzzle of his life has been put in place and he's seems estatic - sharing his news with everyone

how do i feel? i feel wonderful to be able to keep this promise to my son - to reconnect him to his birth family

do i feel threatened? not at all - his brothers and sisters have had a rough road to row and he now knows the reality of that and if anything he feels more grateful for his adoption and his lifestyle

sometimes one's imagination can build up something that is not reality - <span style="font-style: italic">my birth parents are rich and they didn't want me kind of feelings</span> - that fantasy - if it ever existed - has been dispelled from abu's mind

this is a beginning - seems like plans are in place to come visit for spring break - and they have the rest of their lives . . .

i am undone now sis...all shriveled up on the floor like a piece of soggy dough from my eyewater...you are simply, a grand woman who has handled a potentially sensitive vibration with wisemind and grace...kudos to you sis for loving abu so much that you can share him so...bless-ed love...each and every time!!!

mom mom - i have 5 brothers and sisters

2 live in atlanta - 1 is in chicago - and 2 are with my birth mother

i also talked to grandma - she was happy to hear from me - she told me she works 4 jobs and she wants to talk to you sometime

i hope you told grandma - that i'm not giving you back - that i love you and you are mine - signed sealed and delivered and the love of my life

mom - mom - i love you - as his arms circle my neck and he plants a juicy one on my lips

Seveen, kudos and to you. This is a sensitive situation and it shows how well you've been raising Abu (who no doubt is a fine gentleman).

Oh MY...FIVE brothers and sisters! This is such a wonderful story. Kudo's to you Seveen for the way this went down. Abu is such a lucky and blessed young man for having you and I know the blessing is returned ten fold. And now a whole new life adventure begins for all of you . God bless you all. The grandmother must be exicted as all get out too, to know how Abu has turned out to be the finest young man anyone could ask for, and lucky to have such a caring Mom all these years.

Everything happens for a reason and events fall into place when the time is right. The box was not available to you earlier because Abu was not ready for it.. At 15, he is able to process the complexity and sudden expansion of his life

Such a great story Seveen! How wonderful for Abu, words cannot express what you both must be feeling right now! His is a great age for such an adventure as to what this new knowlege and expansion will give him. You've raised him well and certainly shows in how he is handling this experience.
