I'm not denying anything, let me reiterate, I readily accept, embrace and acknowledge my African ancestry, but i'm not African. May I refer you to the last paragraph of Jah Boots response to Sukie. Which I think is an apt and in my opinion accurate 21st century definition of our journey.

let's be clear though that i consider myself african racially.

whether a person from trinidad, india, guyana or jamaica is of indian descent thet still call them indian; same with a chinese...
so in that sense we are still african;
altough most of us are content with being called a color (black)...
but the indians and chines don't call themselves a color (black, brown or yellow) they call themselves mostly by the geographic location of their people and mine is africa...
a chicken born in an oven is still a chicken, not a biscuit

I have been raising this point on here for a long time. Many people proud to call themselves a colour and think that defines them as a people. Some even proud to be 'black' because a white man give them the label black and contrast it to themselves as 'white' using the 'whiteman's' definition of white and black from his own english language of said 'whiteman'.

Asians quick fi tell yuh seh he aint 'black' because he can see what the 'whiteman' is doing and raised themselves above that and not buy into it. Calling an indian a pakistani or a korean chinese is even offensive to them much less referring to them by their skin colour. We are the only race on the planet who are referred to by our skin colour.

There is a difference between being proud of your skin colour and being identified and referred to as who you are as a people of history, culture and achievements... skin colour is only a drop in the ocean to the bigger picture.. It trivialises us as a people with the longest history on the planet.

Well she tell me seh Egyptians been in Egypt forever. An when mi ask her which pawt dem come from, she tell mi seh Egypt. So mi ask her if she consider herself Numbian (she nuh look black at all) an she tell me she her grandfather was Nubian.

But then mi ask her who the last Pharoe was, and she couldn't remember. So mi figure there must have been a blonde in her lineage somewhere as well.

The whole issue on the question as to the race of the Egyptian has been settle in 1978 when Diop and Obenga quashed all historical, linguistic, Artistic, cultural, and genetic opposition to the fact the Egyptians were black at the UNESCO world conference where this matters are settled by master scholars of there fields of study.
Ever since that day the issue is not longer about the race of the Egyptians but rather that race is no longer significant.

who all that na know them african origin, a dem fate. some parents deny to pass whatever on, so be it. being proud of oneself means being proud of ones own acheivement and not that which belong to other people.
