no censuses...they depicted different physical features in their art...i've seen hundreds of depictions of egyptians &amp; their neighbors...from white to black;
but the thing is that the earliest dynasties were more african than not;
italians, despite their darker skin &amp; hair are still considered a part of europe...they have mixed with africa but still essentially european;
likewise the egyptians that had a slightly lighter skin &amp; curlier hair than say a south african would still be an african;
but some wanted egypt removed from africa, due to their own biases

Did anyone actually build a large version of this thing? Well, no one could have come this close to the real shape of flight without working on a larger scale. This little wooden model could hardly exist unless someone had worked with large, light models, or even with man-carrying versions.

Archaeologists have looked in vain for a prototype. A large model light enough to fly would be too delicate to stand the ravages of 2300 years. The original -- if it ever was -- has long since joined the desert dust. Whatever form this Egyptian airplane might have taken, it has long since returned to the world of dreams and imagination from which it first came.

WHHAAAAAAT...you must be joking. God, have you never driven over a bridge like the Brooklyn bridge? Like some of that building they have across the cali waters? We put a man on the moon, like NINE times. I'll forgive the editorializing gushing over their construction and all, but let's be real here. If an ancient Egyptian were to look at a building like the World Trade, you don't think they would drop a nut slap hand to forehead cow bawl and be like blooooooodcleeeeeeeeeeet!

You are saying a lot of stuff that is obvious as if it is not, or as if it is somehow debatable. I agree I mean it is obvious what Egypt has contributed.

My point is do not belittle Egyptian accomplishments by citing them as obvious, try and appreciate their implications, as to the knowledge and technology necessary to achieve those result.


As for the idea of the trip to the moon, more information is coming out on egyptians understanding of flight and so information in that regard maybe discovered ....anybody say stargate.
Lets no overlook the fact that Egypt did all that it did over 2000yrs ago, and here we are comparing it to present day modern civilization. WOW

you are right, they require way MORE &quot;technical&quot; knowledge, just in materials alone!

none of the pyramids have stood that way either...they have all suffered damage and also needed 'maintenance.'

both modes and models.

No one today knows anything enough about the Egyptians ways of thinking in order to solve their problems.

I've been watching a BBC series where such projects attempt to find out how this and that was done It always ends in desparation.

How can you apply lateral thinking to solve a problem from an unknown context?
