That is true, those figures are supplied by ONS (Office of National Statistics)the government agency responsible for gathering information. One of the main reasons for the increase in the numbers of mixed race people, is they have a right to identify themselves as such, if they so wish, as part of the national census, as opposed to being black, which many do consider themselves.

The majority of black men who marry, do marry white women. But some people, especially in the media have spun it to make it look like most black men date outside of their race. True, the numbers are disproportionate compared to other races, but from what I've observed in my life, albeit anecdotal, the vast majority of most black men date black women.

It would be interesting to hear from some of them, was it a deliberate and conscience thing, or just the way things worked out?

Exactly and that is what I have been licking out 'gainst. Interracial dating I don't have a problem with. Interracial marriage, I don't have a problem with. The fact that the playing field is not level, I have a HUGE problem with that.

Lets`s face it,have you lot seen some of the black women walking around in the UK,..they always seem to have a permanent expression on their faces.....like a bulldog chewing a wasp...on a good day they look like hitler when he had his first gas bill.

Having said all that,there is a huge hypocrisy where interracial dating is concerned,...some black women seem to loathe the idea of black men with white women,...yet complain that they are not getting enough attention from white men.

As I said Daddy Neutral...I belive in equal opportunity interracial dating. As long as the playing field is level...I am cool with it.

As for the UK, I haven't been in the UK since a few weeks after the London bombings. Remember I had a night taxi tour so I really can't comment. I did see a few really lovely Black women with White men, more than I'll see in Toronto in months and they didn't have sulky faces. These were BLACK women not Beyonce clones with weaves. You're going to tell me that some of those fast aging British women are more appealing?

I don't think from what I have seen on here that they are complaining about not getting attention from White men. They are complaining about the lack of a level playing field.

One other think...date or marry whoever you choose to date or marry, but why the need to put down Black women to justify your choice. JUST curious.

Lol ! Tropi` you should know,its only the more interesting topics that get me out the woodwork,especially the ones you are on,...it`s people like you that get my juices flowing,you`re interesting,intelligent,engaging,..and hot too.

I havent worn leather trousers in about 5 years now,...I still have a couple pairs in my wardrobe but they are kinda outa fashion here now,I`ll wait till they are in fashion again before bringing them out,..I`m told I look sexy as hell in them....LOl !

I noticed when I was in England that most of the black guys were with white women. Sometimes it got to me however I also must admit that I never saw any black british men that I would consider dating or wish any sister to date. so maybe it's for the best ey?

As a black woman if I lived in the UK I probably would be dating white since that's the majority, or Indian or something else. Also, let's remember it's the UK where there's more racism than here in the US. The black guys there most likely feel their best bet is to go the white route!
