I totally agree with you. Having worn a massive Angela Davis type afro in the sixties when black women were searching for a true identity and trying to show how radical we were. ::lol:: and "we" having moved away from black girls preferring white looking dollies with blue eyes [some called it self hate, which it is not IMHO] we came a long way.

However, things have changed over the years, I still wear my hair "natural" but as the others say here, black women have moved away from that. Hairstyle is no longer used to "identify" a person especially in America...and if you want to see black women with "straight hair" and the Korean hair weave...go to Africa; bettah they went natural...some of them look like dem a wear coyah pan dem hed.

What is interesting is how some white women are emulating wearing black hairstyles.
