I'll point out he has not offered an accurate assessment of Britain's view toward the creation of a Jewish state at all. It's not something which was frozen in time but was formulated over time- for example before the US seriously supported Israel, the Brits allied themselves with Israel to INVADE Egypt. That is support. There are documents which prove Great Britain was in support of several things in the area, often in opposition of each other, and often talking and promising and making agreements with both the Arab factions and the Jewish.
