RichD, you're on the money when it comes to human nature. Not all of us can be measured by the same yardstick. This is why inspite of serious punishment such as the &quot;death penalty&quot;, those who are ruthless and vicious in nature will KILL, given the opportunity. Allowing everyone who wants to be armed is very dangerous...

&quot;Thy man for thyself&quot; plays into the fact that those types will always have the biggest most efficient arms. Me with my modest &quot;pi-pi&quot; would be a gonner in a shoot out to defend myself... That is what some of us are advocating for Jamaica. When we think of the Dons, isn't it more likely they would fall into that bracket? What does anyone think?

Of course being armed does not necessary equal to being ruthless, but even the most coward of womenare known to use arms in the face of danger. It does noty take ruthlessness to equalize. All it takes is being appropriately armed and <span style="font-weight: bold">despirate enough </span>

In the ghetto Don's send for pre teens girls at their home and rape them and send them back home when they are ready. That does not happen in other much more destitute villages. It only happens in areas where fiure arms are used by Dons to supress the communities.

As to whether or not the peeps would know how to deal with rapists, apparently they had no intention to deal with these rapists because no one was fingered for the crime.

So Doc, what you are really saying is, that the Dons are more powerful than the law enforcers... The people have become cowards and refused to inform for the protection of their own community. They're using the power of the Gun to terrorise and suppress certain communities... Never knew that Jamaicans would settle for this on their own soil...

fear is not the only thing ..if it was fear alone there would have been uprisings already...what they use it the promise of benefit...the don is seen as benevolent he pays for books..he pays school fees he dispenses justice if you feel wronged....he protects the community from outsiders.
