i will admit that the women out here are way more conservative with their hair styles. most want just simple sufisticated style. most arent into the ghetto fabulous hair dos. we want something we can jus get up and go. mostof us have to work bcus welfare no easy fi get out here. so therefore wi cant afford to go in to the office wid purple hair.

so let's scratch the surface:

ur source says black professional women now &quot;outpace&quot; black professional men in Corporate America. &quot;outpace&quot;? that means they are NOW being <span style="font-style: italic">hired </span>at a greater rate than black men - the historical reality being that black men have a longer history of being represented in corporate america than black women

there are NOW more black women in 38,000 companies than black men; however the difference between the two numbers is relatively small, AND it's only in what i would call a fraction of the companies that make up corporate america.

black men still outnumber black women in senior management

black women's representation in management grew at a higher rate - but what kind of management, and in what kind of industries? more would need to be revealed here for me to buy this whole thing as a success for black women over black men in corporate america.

just from my personal experience when working in corporate america; i've noticed FAR more black woman on EVERY level than black men...
but i've only worked in new york...your experiences could be different;
same when i was in college...

That doesnt make sense,if you have locks/dreads whatever,... and it is natural then it is YOUR hair,no one can accuse you of wanting long hair,and if they did so what.
However,..if you chose to BUY a weave to put into your head then yes it looks like you are chasing something you are incapable of growing yourself,and/or copying something you cant have naturally.
