i think it's all overblown;

african-americans & african-jamaicans get along just fine for the most part;

there will always be little schisms between different groups but from firsthand experience there is no big tension between africans, african-americans, or african-jamaicans;
i have plenty of good friends from all these groups

I am of no fixed abode, I retain multiple residencies for tax purposes and for bizness reasons for the same reason I have multiple passports.. And my little yard based ad hoc export bizness ah run, I bank every single dollar and Euro it generatess at NCB. And I get compliments from the tax department about the tax returns.
