What about the <span style="font-weight: bold">civil rights and liberties</span> of the people of Arizona who must deal with the costs of having hundreds of thousands of lawbreakers in their state? There are a half a million illegal aliens that now reside in Arizona. The state has a fiscal crisis caused by the burden of providing schooling and social welfare for illegals and their families who consume more in services than they pay in taxes.

Police officers and ranchers have been murdered. There are kidnappings tied to the Mexican drug cartels. What of the safety of the CITIZENS OF THE USA? What of the quality of life of the people that live in ARIZONA. This law has the support of 70 percent of its citizens.

Barack Obama took an oath to see to it that federal laws are executed. He is shirking his responsibilites. He is pandering to the ethnic lobbies.

If the Fedearl government enforced existing immigration laws this situation would not exist. That's a FACT THAT CANNOT BE DISPUTED.

Wendilina, I have and your point is valid to a degree but, it does not take into account the circumstances in Arizona and the US governmnet not enforcing Federal law. Nothing excuses the federal government from not performing their obligated duties to protect it's citizens from illegal invasion.
Arizona is within it's rights (state rights) to protect itself from ruin and it's citizens from harm.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer said the law <span style="font-weight: bold">“represents another tool for our state to use as we work to solve a crisis we did not create and the federal government has refused to fix.”</span>

To answer your question what Arizona inacted WILL NOT solve jack sqat when it come to &quot;illegal alienship&quot;. I don't know how they didn't expect the back lash they are getting now. They had to see it coming. Nevertheless, Arizona is not the only state with issues of Illegal aliens. CA has its issues and I dont see them taking these racist measures to combat the problem.

Incidentally, my brother lived in Pheonix for 4 years shared with me that the hispanic community in his opinion is vital for Arizona's economy. Arizona's economy is largely based on migrant – and illegal – labor. The new law could create a vortex of absent labor, which may provide more jobs for citizens, or bore a deeper hole in the economy.

Either way, the Arizona bill is not a cure all for the immigration issue and as many politicians suggest it is &quot;filled with problems.”
