OK i got it-- you <span style="font-weight: bold">will not </span>say what you call people of east asian racial extraction--just that you don't use a color;

you say your skin is brown but you are called black...

yet you call the other nationalities in jamaica by their geographic origin...i.e. indian, chinese, syrian;

as far as why white people call themselves 'white'?

that is because in their lexicon the term &amp; color white designates positivity &amp; purity, while the term &amp; color black designates the opposite of that...
so of course they have no problem using these terms....except now they call us african-american while refusing to call themselves european-american====== pure tricknology

I find that my friends from ASIA prefer country designation (Korean, Chinese, Japanese etc) rather than a color designation and it took hold in the West which is obsessed with categories.

Here is the thing....every person is African. Regardless of their color. Life came from Africa. So I can all my friend from China...African Chinese..

If we use the logic of African American what do we call a white person born in Africa....I prefer black but do understand the stigma behind it and why people prefer AA.

It depends on where you think the word coming from in ancients times blacks were known as
Khamites, Hamites means black or fertile.
Ethiopians means sun burned or kissed by God(Sunkissed)
The word in question is Arabic - <span style="font-style: italic">Afer</span> means earth.

For me its simple
A = Alpha - beginning or apex
FRI = free or fire or sun
Ka = Soul.

We all free to identify ourselves as we feel.....but in this society if your features are African - You is African......and to not know that can lead very awkward social situations or worst loss of life. You can fool yourself all you want that remains the reality today.
Our dear president's mother is European, what or how does the world perceive him??? As Our first African/American president.
Who on here think he could pass for white/European?
