Are we witnessing the age old PNP support for the police ? If so, it's regretable..
The foll. link already posted in this thread re: the statement by the Police Federation seems to verify it.. It would appear that the police believe that they are untouchable in questions asked about their "Operation in crime prevention" Why would they lash out against the newly elected Leader of the Opposition? unless they are telling him to "butt out" Are we a democracy or What?

The police know with certainty they have a green light to kill at will in certain communities, whether under PNP or JLP.
Based on the fact that:

[*]Jamaicans (including the Human Rights Orgs), had swallowed whole the notion that Dudus was responsible for crime in Jamaica.[*]Jamaicans accept the lie that it was JLP that created and maintained Dudus[*]the removal of Dudus had driven down crime (Even though it was proven that while murders went down somewhat about <5%, other crimes actually rose. Meanwhile police seized less guns and cleared up even less murders)[*]Commissioner Of Police is god right now[/ilist]
They were very shocked and surprised that their actions (especially in Denham Town), would be questioned. They have decided to use bluster to counter, what they consider any attack.[/list]
I have no great conspiracy theories, but the general atmosphere of lawlessness (including of the security forces - The killings and the beatings of the prisoners), needs an enabling environment. Recent history has shown that every PNP Government, since 1972 has provided exactly such a climate.
We will see how it pans out, but I know it will turn out bad.
