The Hospital Hill Run is rated in the top 10 must-do hill marathons
North Face Challenge now has a home in Kansas City... even thought NFC are trail races, this one in Kansas City is part trail and street.

Plus mi dey cross the border....well bout 6-8 hours drive away.

Well as mi nu bawn yestidey...mi know tings could neva play out as di current mr. ilp had in his head I was too tired to cuss im ah so settled on passively cussing each oddah (well me doing more of di cussing). di current mr ilp continued to make plans. plans to move west. i continued to go to court, run, ahn pray daht di man would come to im dyam senses.

di current mr ilp was not in town when i got sucker punched by babygirlA muddah. ahn was relieved when i called him to tell him what happened and he came home right away he made sure that i had a lawyer, even though it was my college friend. ahn he took care of the cost incurred with that. he was there for the back ahn forth with the punching incident....yeah, things felt like they were getting back on track


wrang.... My bubble burst 4 days after babygirlA muddah dropped the charges

I went for a run and when I came home met an Edible Arrangements Delivery Man in the driveway. He was delivering a Welcome Arrangement from the La Cruces (AS IN NEW MEXICO) Office of his company. WTH

His Explanation: They never had enough room in the office in Kansas, but them had nuff in the office in Las Cruces. He would have to attend meetings in the Kansas Office, as he now had accounts there. He could more easily see bout him parents, as he could take a quick flight (or drive) as opposed to catching flight wid connections....ahn more warra. So what mi think

He left for Kansas 2 days later.

One ah oonu asked what di current mr ilp sister had to say about all of this. At first, she thought her brother was just going through the normal stages and reflections that people go through when faced with death. She too had some serious concerns when their mother fell. When it didnt seem like di current mr ilp was going to snap out of it. She sat ME down to see where my head was.

What was in my head is that the man that i've been shacking up with (sorry bout di lose term deh ) was acting like a damned eediat. Ah eddiat that i hardly recognized anymore. I told di current mr ilp sister that I was furious for numerous reasons like:

1. he was making decisions without me
2. he was obviously going through stuff ahn didnt have the common decentsy to talk to me about them.
3. he was damned selfish, as he was making decisions without concern about my career ahn my needs. I mean how im know mi can find a next job
4. how im know i will like the midwest...what IS IN THE MIDWEST.
5. how mi a mek other smaddy tell me tings bout him (ie: Edible Arrangements) when is im supposed to tell me the tings.
6. wah bout im pickney? im can just uproot im like that

that was what was in my head.

She shook her head and then agreed with me that di current mr ilp was well outta ardah. She agreed with everything....well, except my midwest comments... but....

So she suggested that I try the approach of NOT cussing him ahn telling him these things ahn see what it get me. She said, &quot;ILP...my brother loves you. She shamed me... So mi agreed.

I actually answered the phone when di current mr ilp called. He sounded surprised when I answered It was a good conversation....I agreed to fly out to see him. He promised to make this trip a fact finding trip.

The facts:
Kansas....lawd God Almighty...it seem even worsa each time mi seet. When mi seh it fava dust bowl
Mi check out each of the school systems ahn the process of trying to get an emergency teaching license was
His parents were in bad shape They even looked more aged since the funeral. They did need some supervision. aye sah....
We drove from their house to di company office in Las Cruces....SMDH. But im seh it much easier than having to drive from MD. He was right....
Las Cruces and the surrounding area wasnt too bad
But mi neva want im to get it twisted....we still had a home back in MD. Mi still was wasnt sold on the midwest. Wah bout di black people...cah mi neva see none. Could I find a job? NM didnt look as overwhelming as Kansas, but still. Where would would Hunter go to school? Can mi still find mi Curry ahn tings when mi needed it?
Anyhew...come to find out Las Cruces is right over the TX (El Paso) line. So most &quot;city&quot; things would have to do there.
While El Paso had a little bit more going on than Las Cruces...it was still TX...North Mexico at that When mi seh Mexican...lawd God

We flew back to Kansas from El Paso. The total flight time was 1hr:48min. So it was shorter than flying from MD.

But I still wasnt sold.... I still needed a plan for our house in MD. I still needed a job. We needed to investigate where exactly we would be living and Kansas was OUT OF THE EQUATION. PERIOD. I would also need to find expectable schooling/care for Hunter. Him company would haffi come up offa some more money to finance di Rosetta Stone mi would need fi live ah dem pawts I just needed to think things ova. Plus mi still very cross wid im ova how im go bout things

di current mr ilp seemed relieved.
