A person who has little education and few professional skills has to use whatever means available to eat, put a roof over their head, et. al. For some that entails taking on a menial low-paying job, for others it involves selling their body and earning more money. For me the person who is in a weaker position is clearly being exploited, even if he/she talks about holding out that which the stronger one desires. The stronger one can always force or coerce the weaker one.

It would be interesting for those who think that black people from rich countries exploit poor people's bodies as much as white people do to point to stats on that. That would put an end to the argument for sure. Seriously.

Oh, I agree with you, but therein lies the 'problem' though. In an ever increasing secular society, those views are considered passé, and once sex and marriage lose their "sacredness", it creates a whole different set of issues including the one this thread is about.

Interestingly, during the research for the previously mentioned paper, a considerable amount of "blame" for the sexualization of women as objects was laid on the feminists who not only has undermined marriage over the years, but has also promoted the argument that a woman's body is her own and she can do with it whatsoever she pleases. The same argument was a part of the infamous Roe vs Wade debate that literally opened the door to 'legalized' abortions.

It shouldn't be surprising that where there is a decline in moral absolutes, there will be an increase in certain behaviors. It is almost inevitable.

Not at all. I'm sure there are atheists, agnostics, and others in between, with a strong sense of what they consider to be right and wrong.
