True sunshine .. The wasy I see it there are 2 issues in this case.

1. The fact that they handcuffed her and whether or not there should have been another approach

2. The other is the root cause of the child's behavior that led to the police being called in the first place.

Anything in between those 2 issues is just pure camouflage IMO

Since when ALL Jamaicans are of one mind?!!!! Jamaicans are some of the most passionate debaters of issues around the world. Yuh caa hav ah debate if if everybaddi are single-minded and always agree all di time. Ah tink yuh need to study di Jamaican people just a little bit more before acting like an expert on out culture.

We are multi-dimensional and disagree wid eachother, an anybaddi else fi dat matter, all the time. Dat is one of the Jamaican traits why some outsiders have a love/hate reaction to Jamaicans, caa dem mis-interpet wi passion fi debate, fi arrogance, faceti, an like fi argue.

I watched the video, and while I understand that the girl was behaving in an unruly manner, I don't quite understand why the POLICE had to be called. I would think that police officers are too busy to be called each time school officials have problems with misbehaving students - especially kindergarten pupils.

It must have been a slow day in that part of Florida for the police to have time to respond to a call about a 5 year old pickney. They need to work here in D.C.

Patty .. My aunt teaches an elementary school in DC.. shi seh di pickney dem bad so til dem have police cyar park a di school in case dem needed. So yes on accasions pricipals and teachers have to call di police - even in DC.. Dem need fi call di police when dem outta han yes.. a di same parents dem drive the system to that... cause as if di teacha dare fi even breed hard pan dem pickney dem want come sue di State even when dem know di pickney bad like a wah. Mi noh wrang dem fi call di police. Di school system havi protec dem self.

I feel that race was a issue in the handling of this child, and it all started with the teacher! The media is fanning the smoke from the fire! Camera, police, handcuffs, for a 5yo, pure DRAMA!
