Good Sunday morning everyone!

Roots, the tree reminds me of the movie "The Lunatic".

Happy family visiting! I'm in the midst of a family reunion of sorts too. It's the diehard bunch of lunatic blues fans I've chosen for family and this is our 21st annual blues festival gathering.

After freezing half to death of friday, I went prepared to do battle yesterday. Half of my winter wardrobe was in my car, long undies and all.

The noontime fog never did lift

We don't let a little fog or cold or rain stop us from our blues though

We're hard core blues fans! I don't know that the vendors did a big business though. My one lemonade lasted me all through the day...

Besides, Los Lobo's was the closing act last night and we weren't going anywhere...

Well, cept for when the lightning and rains came halfway though Los Lobos. That was the straw that broke the dragons back and was time to leave!

This is all nothing compared to the 100 inches of rain they just got in Taiwan from the big typhoon though. A whole big hotel fell into the sea last night!

Now today is supposed to be 80 degrees and humid. I gotta go unpack my car and go find some summer clothes! It's been a long time since I've seen any summer clothes cause we haven't had summer here yet.

Marnin QK! Yes, what's a little bit of cold, or even a LOT of cold when you have the blues down to the core of your being. Hey, the sun just came out and someone turned the heat on! I may NOT enjoy so much the heat of this afternoon. Yesterday's high was 55 at the festival! Today might be a sizzler. I can deal better with the 55.

QK, don't have the likkle veranda done yet. Will probably have the mesh put on next trip so I can enjoy it.

I was really exhausted yesterday, so didn't do much but run grandkids around town and pick them up from swimming. They seemed very appreciative this time so it was well worth it. Then I was watching taped TV shows, Bones, NCIS, and Desparate Housewives. They are reruns but I'm catching up since I don't watch much over in Ja. I did a little sewing for 1/2 hour. Am making a tooth pillow and tooth fairy soft book for a granddaughter. The pillow is almost finished. There is a little pocket on the front to put the tooth in. So cute!

My teeth are chattering just looking at you Nan! But I love the blues too and I'd be doing the same thing. Your smile says it all - glad you had a good time and at least warmer weather is around the corner for you

It's 75 and humid and I can't put any less clothes on!

Deb Callahan Band is coming on soon so I better get my butt down there! I have my long underwear in the car just n case the wind switches again!

Was it you who was talking about making something with old "sarongs"?
I made 2 pillow covers yesterday out of old sarongs, for my couch pillows. They look rather nice. Now I need some more sarongs!

Good Monday morning everyone!

Yesterday at the blues festival was big fun and memories of a cold first few days were quickly quashed and the legendary Blues Review left us wanting more even though they played non stop for 2 1/2 hours.

Yes, QK and also those burlap coffee bags....I cleaned out closets and drawers....got rid of 5 big bags of shoes and clothes....that is ridiculous to have so much stuff....I'm gonna start getting rid of all the clutter and things that I don't use. I was in need of some new work shoes.....got rid of ones that were not comfortable and ones that just never worked for me & took advantage of a sale and got me 2 pair of comfy ones...

Nan, the blues festival looks like it's way fun. I guess if you get the cold, it cancels out the skeeters!!
