Tish, admit it, we have issues with this subject, you lost a whole house, and I just felt stupid. But it was a valuable lesson worth learning for me and got me ready for my next decade visiting, doing just that VISITING. I cut my losses a lot less than you did. I'd be ready to HURT somebody, but what can you really do, you ain't on your home turf.
I know a chick who has a half finished house sitting somewhere on the side of a hill in Jamaica that took every dime of the money left to her from her Mom and Dad's death. She pulled up stakes before it was too late, and left bad loss for bad. Hell it's hundreds of these stories, then hundreds of the ones that turn out ok who knows.Comment

This renta ting goes on in the DR and most likely many other places too. It will continue to go in in Jamaica until the economic situation changes.

You are right Marilyn. Too many stories to tell.
I have a friend, while I was living in my house come stay with me. She came down to her house 4 rooms, filled with all the things of luxury. She went in and her man was in bed having sex with an italin in black high heels!
Turns out he just got married to the itlian woman and was told in itailan and patwa get the heck out of here! Luckily she was 33 at the time and bounced back.
I've been blessed. What goes around comes around. I lost 1 house but now I own 2. Life is good.

Next reach will be at an all-inclusive. Have no desire to travel around. Just R&R and a wedding. I'll be the one with the Damon Wayan's look a like sipping virgin margarits under the dbl chair umbrella on the beach.
