I don't think I phrased it as you did though but ...

What I'm saying is, I know that it's ok to buy things in your kid's name - yes - I get that.

But he was putting a 2yr old's name down and using a 2 yr old's ss# because his tax payer id # wasn't going to get him the best rate.

That's not right.

Just doesn't seem right to me, I guess is what I should say.

This was a genuine call.

A Jamaican woman here in NY - Brooklyn and she's calling looking for help/direction.

She's here illegally.

Her teenage son is being sexually abused by his teacher AND - <span style="font-weight: bold">AND by this teacher's HUSBAND as well</span>!

She says she doesn't know what to do - how to approach authorities for fear of immigration / being deported.

Wendy told her straight up - YOU put yourself in this position and the abusers have you over a barrel.

What gets me, is that the mother says she doesn't know what to do.

The man did put his name on the Deed, presumably with the knowledge of all the possible implications flowing from that.

...but as I suspected the victim is to be blamed particularly if he/she is seen to have committed some minor infraction. There is a reason why Real Estate Agents are licensed and controlled their advice carries weight and it can be tested in court.

It's not just the seller and real estate agent involved in the fraud. If they used an attorney (like they do here in NJ) or a title company they were in on it and most importantly the mortgage company had to be the ringleader because they are who checks the credit, gets the necessary documentation for the loan underwriter, etc. They all knew that 2 year old baby wasn't buying a house.

Also, in the state of NJ, undocumented people cannot purchase property - you have to show proof of citizenship if there is a question. I have seen many a deal fall apart because the purchaser was here illegaly and not able to obtain a mortgage.

I hope Nicole Griffin can bear the harvest she is going to reap from her actions. What a horrible woman.

</div></div>....He was not undocumented and you can't just willy-nilly move the incident from Roswell GA to NJ and assume fraud simply because the property was purchased in the Child's name. Let me give you a hint even though he was illegal in the USA in some State and in the eyes of the Federal Government he had every right to own Property. He possessed according to the article a Federal Tax ID number. He could not work for a salary but he could work as a Contractor and own Property.
