I have been raising this point on here for a long time. Many people proud to call themselves a colour and think that defines them as a people. Some even proud to be 'black' because a white man give them the label black and contrast it to themselves as 'white' using the 'whiteman's' definition of white and black from his own english language of said 'whiteman'.

Asians quick fi tell yuh seh he aint 'black' because he can see what the 'whiteman' is doing and raised themselves above that and not buy into it. Calling an indian a pakistani or a korean chinese is even offensive to them much less referring to them by their skin colour. We are the only race on the planet who are referred to by our skin colour.

There is a difference between being proud of your skin colour and being identified and referred to as who you are as a people of history, culture and achievements... skin colour is only a drop in the ocean to the bigger picture.. It trivialises us as a people with the longest history on the planet.

one thing i can say for sure though;
the europeans have been extremely fascinated by ancient egypt. so much so they never miss an opportunity to dress up in ancient egyptian garb for movie &amp; tv dramatizations; they put pyramids on their money and casinos, etc.
i saw a program yesterday where some of them were claiming that ancient egypt might have been ruled by people from the 'lost continent of atlantis' or possibly aliens came from outer space to build egypt
yet it is us who are accused of too much obsession with egypt.

they would be outraged if we claimed that ancient greece &amp; rome were african civilizations and used black actors to portray greeks &amp; romans in movies and network tv programs;
