I see where you're coming from still. I don't think it would be wise for Bolt to pay off any don or police for that matter. Imagine the headlines world wide on that. Those who would like to see Bolt's career finish quick would use that as ammunition. He need to have a proper official legal security organised for his household and immediate family members. The government of Jamaica and Jamaica is benefiting from his success so its a no brainer that they look after him and make sure him, his household and immediate family is secure and well protected at all times. This is an embarrassment for Jamaica at large including the immediate community who don't look after such a Jamaican icon whilst he's abroad imho

To be honest,I dont think the government is under any obligation to provide security for any celebrity,regardless of which field they excel in.
This kind of thing is not unique to jamaica,
Here in the Uk it`s common practice for footballer`s houses to be robbed,especially when they`re playing in a big match abroad.
It`s up to people like bolt and others to provide their own security for their property when they are away from home,.....come on people he is an icon but let`s get things into perspective.
