Yeah, it usually isn't ....and I'd be willing to bet it becomes like a tornado gaining momentum over time, sucking more and more stuff into the vortex. ILP should set some boundaries for herself. For example, how many workdays can one give up? I'll bet this prom and graduation thing isn't the first delimma.
(of course I like drama myself....but I'd rather live it vicariously, hense my involvement here )

poor thing...ILP...do what you can do from the sidelines...the mother is still her mother as long as she is her child...she will have to navigate her life once she reaches adulthood, hopefully she can thrive in adulthood after having an indequate mother

hopefully for baby A when she finish college, she doan have to move back home. (mother guilt her or some other reason i can't think of right now)..

i think children are among the last to see and accept fault in their parents. and when they do, as it appears babygirl A is doing now, it is not an easy thing for them to deal with.

Well now it has all finally come to a head hasn't it! I remember reading other saga's of our ILP putting up with hell and high water to help this little girl grow up and now it seems like it has all come to a head.

sigh...

ILP, can you legally bring the girl home? Laws are different among states but in many, if the girl is 17 and with all the baggage she is carrying and since it sounds she wants OUT of there and has a place to go, you should be able to help her.

It also sounds like drastic measures may need to happen such as restraining orders etc. This poor girl. ILP you are a saint for putting up with the &quot;so-called&quot;mother just to help this girl all of these years
