I completely disagree. Citizens should be allowed to determine by their pockets, their mouths and otherwise who their representatives should be. What should be fixed is the way Citizens can get on a ballot and the atmosphere surrounding elections.

In Jamaica ever since the advent of the two major Unions and the political Parties that they spawned, political discourse and election campaigning have been conducted in an atmosphere of fear and violence. This makes it difficult for any individual and/or entity to get their voices heard unless they can marshal and command violent Garrisons willing to do their bidding at the drop of a hat.
