Franksterr , that is not a serious response.
Anyone who lived in Jamaica in the 70’s or took the time to study the history of that era in depth would not have answered in that manner.
It is “of little import” only if you choose to ignore the fact that Jamaica was all about politics in the 70’s. Jamaica was (and continues to be) a highly tribalised society and in the seventies the fault lines were, for the most part (though not exclusively), political. And for many poor people, one’s political affiliation was a life or death matter, literally, and that goes for both the killers and those they killed. For you to so casually dismiss that reality is outrageous.
I am not sure why you would choose to ignore this, except, of course, for the obvious…..to avoid answering the question.
