Basically the MIU has been use by PNP Party Leadership to as a sort of personal killing machine, much like the Nazi use the Schutzstaffel. No one in Jamaica has yet confronted this reality.
In the same way Comrades built and powder puff Dudus til it was time to take him down, they groomed the Southside men for two weeks till it was time to kill them at Green Bay. This is the essential argument.

Where did I make those arguments?..That would be stupid....Dudley Thompson will always be remembered for those comment as for your comment that the government ordered the killings well that's pure nonsense(unless you were part of the government and ordered said killings)

REVERED politician Ambassador Dudley Joseph Thompson who died last Friday a heart attack, is to be accorded an official funeral.

Thompson, 95, was in New York to deliver a lecture to a group of university students when he died.



Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller made the announcement while leading tributes to Ambassador Thompson, who had served as a Cabinet minister under former Prime Minister Michael Manley during the 1970s, during Tuesday's sitting of Parliament. She said details of the funeral for Ambassador Thompson, who resided abroad during his latter years, will be announced shortly.

In the meantime, the prime minister — in detailing the many capacities in which he had served — said Ambassador Thompson was &quot;well respected&quot; and a &quot;dedicated politician and public servant&quot;.

&quot;In spite of all his accomplishments he was a decent human being ...&quot; she said of the man who had a wicked sense of humour and &quot;a very sharp mind&quot;.

Opposition Leader Andrew Holness, in his remarks, said &quot;as we remember the life of Dudley Thompson and the contribution he made to national development, it is fitting that we pay tribute to his life as that of a Jamaican who made us all very proud&quot;.

&quot;...A nationalist character, he was prominent among those who searched passionately for the Jamaican identity... he served the country with passion,&quot; Holness said.

&quot;Dudley played many roles and he played them all very well,&quot; the Opposition leader said while reflecting on Thompson's excellent oratorical skills.

Tuesday, a total of 11 parliamentarians paid tribute to Ambassador Thompson.

Thompson was the first student of Mico College, now the Mico University College, to win the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University in England in 1947.

A Pan-Africanist, he was the first man to be made a citizen of the African Union. Thompson also served as president of the Jamaican Bar Association and was a Queen's Counsel. He is remembered for his famous defence of Jomo Kenyatta after the African was abducted by Britain in 1952. Kenyatta went on to become president of Kenya. He also practised law in other parts of Africa, Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean. Thompson was president of the World African Diaspora Union when he died.

Franksterr, there is no doubt that the CIA beefed up the presence of their operatives in Jamaica in the seventies….much in the same way Ulysses Estrada flooded the island with Cuban intelligence agents at the same time. There is incontrovertible evidence that both the US and Cuba were doing this. Where we differ is on what these two groups of outsiders were up to on the island and the degrees to which each, as well as MM himself, contributed to his eventual ouster and the mayhem that preceded that.

The episodes that I outlined above (and many more like them), were carried out by armed thugs aligned with the PNP. This is not hearsay. Huh ? PNP thugs paid by the CIA to kill Labourites so that….PNP thugs would be blamed for it ? HUH ?????

It is not speculation here we have ex CIA agent and others telling us what many have suspected for years. Hence it is not farfetch to see the CIA paying Mr Robinson.

The CIA would be Paying thugs of any political persuasion to kill people of any political persuasion and then having the media blame the then government for it.....The Aim was to remove the Manley goverment how that is of little consequence to the CIA - The Means Justifies the ends.

This is hilarious. Frankster, most of the staff, including the ambassador, were intelligence agents. This was common knowledge my friend. Moreover, I personally met some of these so called “technicians” and “advisors”.

Frankster please. Are you being deliberately obscurantist or do you genuinely believe that ? Yes that was his day job. However, Mr. Estrada was far far more than a mere ambassador. Mr. Estrada came to Jamaica with a resume that included many years of exporting terrorism and revolution in Latin America and Africa on behalf of the Cuban government. If I am not mistaken, he may even have been the second in command of the Dirección de Inteligencia at one point. My friend you have a lot of reading to do.

Franksterr, I was being sarcastic. Moonex is/was a Cuban fronted corporation that was in the business of arms shipments. They had an office in Kingston in the seventies. The gentleman I referred to in an earlier post was the manager. And speaking of Dudley, he attempted to sneak him out of the island after someone who wasn’t supposed to, discovered ammunition in one of their containers. This is one of the many reasons the Police Federation had lost confidence in DT.

yes every gov't is corrupt...every one;
this thread was in memory of DT but some j'cans feel his memory should not be honored...supposedly over the killing of these men or maybe what he said about the killing of these men;
yet a guy like obama has killed far more people than that and some of these same people will honor him to the end and some reward him with peace prizes &amp; accolades;
it's all a matter of outlook &amp; point of view...

My friend you did make those arguments by implication .....and you are right that would be stupid.
<span style="font-weight: bold">Sis C</span> posted an article written/contributed by Jamaicans on the facts surrounding Green Bay. You responded to the article by first declaring the writer/contributors(s) to be a Labourite. The rebuttal you posted had zero to do with Green Bay, but everything to do with the killing of Madam Rose Leon. No one knows how and why she was killed. Could have been a random act in a very violent Jamaica or it could have been with historic political motives.

The point is Comrades such as Dudley Thompson and Bev Manley took the opportunity to hold forth on 70s politics and make all kinds of declarations.
Comrade Thompson was lying. That was not all he said then and as I have said before, starting from 1972 there was a pattern of organized killing, torture and general violence against Jamaicans by the then PNP Government.

As to references I noticed that the so-called rebuttals are from the USA. Remember there were at least 3 Commissions of Enquiries into various incidents (Orange Lane <span style="font-size: 14pt">Fire
Gold Street Massacre
Rema Fire
State Of Emergency 1976</span>), including <span style="font-size: 14pt">Green Bay</span>. There were also many others articles contemporaneously written about the times (yes some of them I have saved), which proved active PNP Government involvement in murder and torture.
